Gateway – Client with PSK and Captive portal (with VLAN scenario)

Gateway – Client with PSK and Captive portal (with VLAN scenario) #

After adding 2 APs ( 1 as a Gateway and 1 as a client), follow the below given steps to configure the Gateway client scenario with VLANs.

Step 1 #

Create a PSK based WLAN profile and adjust the configurations as shown below snapshot.

As we have default interfaces created with default VLANs 66 and 67 for default created SSID interfaces

( WAN / LAN – SSID1 and SSID2), we just need to select appropriate options into the WLAN network interface field.

Note: Default interfaces are as follows.

Default LAN Interface For SSID 1

Default LAN Interface For SSID 2

Default WAN Interface For SSID 1

Default WAN Interface For SSID 2

Profiles  –>  Available Profile –> WLAN  and check your PSK based SSID profile settings.

Step 2 #

Now create a captive portal profile, for this scenario lets chose a voucher based captive portal, and for that type of portal creation, refer Voucher based captive portal document.

Profiles  –>  Available Profile –> WLAN  and check your Captive portal based SSID profile settings.

Step 3 #

After all this configuration is done, plug in a cable on the client’s AP WAN from Gateway AP’s LAN port.

Please check the following diagram for the scenario reference.
