The Ray RSL2-A-24X is  Layer 3 Aggregation layer Cloud-managed 24 Port Full fiber switch with 24 (10 Gbe SFP+) and 2 (40 Gbe QSFP+) UPlink ports.

By default the Ray RSL2-A-24X switch has its switch port interfaces configured with speed and duplex set at Force 10G- Full duplex.  

Due to this default setting on the Ray RSL2-A-24X, when another Access Layer (L2+) Switch connects from its uplinks usually 1G SFP to the Ray RSL2-A-24X switch ports which have default speed and duplex of 10G SFP+, A speed and duplex mismatch error occurs and the port’s link doesn’t come up.

important info!

int ethernet 1/0/1-24 : this command enters the switch port interface configuration range of ethernet port 1/0/1-24 

speed-duplex force1g-full : This command statically configures the Ray RSL2-A-24X speed and duplex from default Force10g-full to force1g-full
